Rationale:
The purpose of attending the California HOSA Leadership Conference is to represent Azusa Unified School District (AUSD) in a prestigious medical competition in Clinical Nursing, Biomedical Technology, and Medical Assisting. Under the supervision of AHS staff, 36 AHS students will attend the conference in Sacramento, California, from March 26 - 30, 2025. AUSD has been participating in this conference since 2015. Board of Education approval is necessary since the trip requires overnight travel.  
Budgetary Impact:
The cost, not to exceed $30,000, to be paid from Supplemental and Concentration funds and Career Technical Education grant funding.  
Recommendation
It is recommended the Board of Education approve AHS participation in the 2025 California HOSA Leadership Conference.
