Rationale:
The adoption of the Resolution Authorizing Continued Funding Application for the California State Preschool Program (CSPP) certifies the approval of the Azusa Unified School District's (AUSD) Board of Education to enter into a transaction with the California Department of Education (CDE) for the purpose of providing child care and development services through CSPP. The adoption of the resolution also authorizes designated personnel Arturo Ortega, Superintendent; Norma Camacho, Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services; and Jenny Le, Director of Early Childhood Education to sign contract documents for Fiscal Year 2025–2026, the Continued Funding Application, and all related contract documents. AUSD has been partnering with the CDE since 2016 in order to provide early childhood education programs through CSPP.  
Budgetary Impact:
AUSD may receive up to $4,477,440 from CDE for 2025-2026.  
Recommendation
It is recommended the Board of Education approve Resolution #24-25:14 Resolution Authorizing Continued Funding Application.
