Rationale:
State law requires all public schools receiving state funding to prepare and distribute a SARC. A similar requirement is also contained in the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The purpose of the SARC is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school. No less than triennially, the Board of Education must review and compare the contents of Azusa Unified School District’s SARCs to the template approved by the State Board of Education. The SARCs are reviewed and approved annually by the Board of Education.
