Rationale:
|
|
Dr. Nancy Akhavan has been providing literacy instruction professional learning to AUSD elementary teachers. This contract will expand professional learning to site and district administrators on supporting literacy instruction in elementary and secondary classrooms. AUSD selected Dr. Akhavan to provide professional development services based on her specialized skills and prior experiences in working with diverse learners. Dr. Akhavan began working with AUSD in 2021 through our collaborative work with California Education Partners. |

The cost, not to exceed $10,000, will be paid from the Expanded Learning Opportunities grant funding. |
