Rationale:
|
Trustee Area 1 does not have a candidate and because there is no candidate, the Board of Education must now appoint a qualified person to the office.
Below is a proposed timeline the Board of Education can take to appoint a qualified person to the office:
Monday, September 26 - Begin to notice (advertise/market) the Board of Education's intent to make an appointment and provide information on how to apply
Tuesday, October 11 at 5:00pm - Applications are due
Thursday, October 13 - A committee consisting of less than a quorum of the Board of Education shall ensure that applicants are eligible for Board of Education membership
Tuesday, October 18 - The Board of Education will interview the candidates at a public meeting and accept oral and written public input
Tuesday, October 18 - The Board of Education, by a majority vote, will select the appointee
