Four AUSD students placed in the Duarte Elks Lodge Drug Awareness Essay contest. The theme of this year’s contest was "Be Kind to Your Mind – Live Drug-Free." The essays were judged on the following: theme, neatness, originality, and correct grammatical structure.
The winners are:
1st Place, Girl’s Division – Savannah Kendrick (Gladstone Middle School)
3rd Place, Division I - Jaxon Medina (Valleydale Elementary School)
1st Place, Division III – Alexia Lopez-Martinez (Gladstone Middle School)
1st Place, Division IV – Annika Kim (Gladstone Middle School) |
