Rationale:
|
On May 9, 2023, the Board of Education approved a recommendation to award the Fresh Bread contract to Gold Star Foods Inc., on behalf of the 30 member districts San Gabriel Valley Purchasing Cooperative, and Galasso's Bakery as the secondary bread supplier. In accordance with the contract, the specifications and conditions contain provisions to extend the contract for up to a total of three years, one year at a time, upon mutual agreement by both parties. The contract term will be extended for a second year starting July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. AUSD has been in partnership with Gold Star Foods Inc. since June 2023.
