Rationale:
|
Under Public Contract Code sections 20118 and 10290, the Board of Education of a school district may authorize by contract, requisition, or purchase order the acquisition of equipment, supplies, materials, and other property utilizing the procurement process and contract of another agency through a “piggyback” contract without going through a formal bid process. This piggyback contract process allows school districts to take advantage of the terms negotiated by other agencies.
