Rationale:
|
The consultant will support K-6 teachers with one day of professional development delivered via Zoom on developing units of study through backwards mapping. Students' levels of language, literacy, and content learning will be increased through improved understanding of content and language embedded in units of study. The consultant was selected to provide professional development services based on her specialized skills and prior experiences in working with diverse learners. Dr. Akhavan has worked with AUSD previously this year.
