Contract between AUSD and CENTEGIX.pdf
Rationale: Over the past year, the District team, in partnership with our union partners, has been exploring solutions to enhance the efficiency of our building responses to various emergency situations. After thorough consideration, we have identified CENTEGIX as a comprehensive safety platform that offers crisis alert communication through wearable panic alert badges specifically designed for public education.

The CrisisAlert badges are equipped with a button that, when pressed, instantly sends alerts to administrators and first responders. These alerts contain accurate location details, helping responders to act quickly and efficiently in addressing any incidents that may occur within our buildings. With this technology, we are empowered to be proactive in addressing potential safety concerns and creating a secure environment for both our students and staff.

CENTEGIX was created to address the limitations of traditional school safety measures and to adapt to the unique environment of classrooms and modern crisis technologies. The goal of CENTEGIX is to improve emergency response effectiveness by simplifying the identification, notification, and management of critical incidents. This ensures a prompt and efficient response when it is most needed.

The CrisisAlert was one of the applications listed in the District’s COPS School Violence Prevention Program application.
Budgetary Impact: The cost, not to exceed $568,800, will be paid from COPs Grant and Capital Facilities and Improvement Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended the Board of Education approve contract between AUSD and CENTEGIX.
