Rationale:
The purpose of attending the HOSA Leadership Conference is to represent California and AUSD in a prestigious medical competition and continue to hold the gold medal internationally in Clinical Nursing, Biomedical Technology, and Medical Assisting. Under the supervision of HOSA advisor and medical instructor, Jennie Aguirre, along with co-advisors Randall Rodgers and Edna Rodgers, 22 Gladstone High School students will attend the conference in Long Beach, California. The trip needs Board of Education approval because it requires overnight accommodations. Gladstone High School has been participating in this conference since 2017.
Budgetary Impact:
The cost, not to exceed $6240.90, to be paid from Supplemental and Concentration and Career Technical Education funding.
