1. Care and prevention of athletic injuries, basic first aid and emergency procedures
2. Coaching theory and techniques
3. Knowledge of rules and regulations in athletic activity being coached
4. Child or adolescent psychology
5. Substance abuse training
6. Code of ethical conduct
