Rationale:
|
School districts are funded primarily by the State of California budget. Each January, the Governor presents a proposal budget for the fiscal year beginning the following July. While state funding for schools is not officially determined until mid-June, districts begin developing their preliminary budget for the following school year based on the Governor's January proposal.
