Rationale: Four Azusa High School students competed and placed in the Azusa Rotary’s Four-Way Speech Contest. The theme of this year’s contest is "Create Hope in the World." The first-place winner, Emily Ruiz, competed in and won the local area contest and competed in the regional competition in March. The winners are: 1st Place – Emily Ruiz (Azusa High School, 12th grade) 2nd Place – Hector Hernandez (Azusa High School, 12th grade) 3rd Place – John Tacuchi (Azusa High School, 12th grade) 4th Place – Emanuel Serrato (Azusa High School, 11th grade)
Budgetary Impact:
Recommendation: It is recommended the Board of Education recognize the Rotary Four -Way Speech contest winners.
