Rationale:
|
Williams Facility Inspection Tool (FIT) inspections are due every year and the results are noted in district School Accountability Report Cards. Williams FIT inspections are a result of the class-action lawsuit (Williams v. California) that claimed the state's poorest children were being denied equal access to the basics of a quality education.
For school districts, Williams FIT inspections are to be completed annually by either district staff, or an agency, and by the county office of education. Though the County Office of Education completes FIT inspections, they only inspect 25% of each of the selected sites. The District is responsible for completing a thorough FIT analysis for all sites each fiscal year.
This proposal obtains the services of CSI to complete a thorough Williams inspection of all sites that are currently being utilized by the District. CSI will provide the District one electronic copy of the FIT report for each school and all the photographs taken related to FIT, for the next three years. The District has been working with CSI since 2020.
