Rationale:
|
The SGV Co-Op is a group of independent school districts from Los Angeles County/San Gabriel Valley that have an agreement to purchase perishable and staple foods, supplies, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodities in cooperative bidding for our mutual benefit via Invitation for Bid (IFB) and/or Request for Proposal (RFP). The SGV Co-Op allows the AUSD Nutrition Services to be in compliance with the general procurement regulations in 2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 200.318-200.326. It also allows AUSD Nutrition Services to take advantage of discounts, rebates, and the advantage of large districts' purchasing power to obtain the best quality and rates on food. AUSD Nutrition Services has participated in SGV Co-Op since August 2017.
