Rationale:
|
As a condition of receiving the California Universal Prekindergarten Planning and Implementation Grant fund, state law requires each Local Education Agency (LEA) to create a plan articulating how children in the attendance area of the LEA will have access to full-day learning programs the year before kindergarten that meet the needs of parents. The plan must be developed for consideration by the LEA’s governing board or body at a public meeting.

No budgetary impact. AUSD will receive funding from the California Department of Education in the amount of $195,589.00.
