Rationale:
|
The K12 SWP is designed to support K-12 education agencies in creating, improving, and expanding career technical education courses, course sequences, programs of study, and pathways for students transitioning from secondary education to postsecondary education to living-wage employment. COUSD is the fiscal lead of the Foothill Consortium that includes Azusa, Charter Oak, Duarte, and Monrovia Unified School Districts. COUSD has been assigned the responsibility to acquire, manage, and report all uses of grant funds. AUSD must agree to adhere to all terms and conditions set forth in the attached memorandum in order to fully comply with all program eligibility requirements.

Budgetary Impact:
|
The Foothill Consortium has been awarded $927,330 for the K12 SWP Round 4. After consortium expenses, AUSD will receive $294,083 to be utilized as set forth in the attached memorandum.

Recommendation:
|
It is recommended the Board of Education approve the MOU between AUSD and COUSD for the K12 SWP Round 4 Fiscal Year 2021-2022.
