Rationale:
|
In February 2022, the Board of Education approved the contract between AUSD and Ryland School Business Consulting. Through this agreement, Ryland sent Daniel Menyon to work on site. Mr. Menyon has been assisting with filling in the gaps caused by vacancies, assisting with the 2022-2023 budget development, 2021-2022 budget clean up, and BEST system integration and implementation.
Through the agreement with Ryland, the District agreed to an hourly rate of $175. Understanding the need for the services, but being consistent with the financial implication, the Business Services team continued to negotiate the terms of the contract. Ryland has agreed to allow the District to go into a contract directly with Mr. Menyon, which will allow the District to continue to receive the needed services, but pay a lowered hourly rate of $90 per hour.
The projected budgetary impact of $28,000 is calculated based on Mr. Menyon working through the end of the fiscal year, starting in May through June 30, 2022. The previous agreement was also through June 30th. Upon Board of Education approval, the agreement with Ryland will terminate.
Though this contract is through June 30th, it is not anticipated that services will be needed for the duration, as we are actively working to fill all current vacancies.
