Rationale:
|
Step Up Tutoring provides one-on-one online tutoring for students in grades 3-6, which includes academic support in reading, math, and homework help. Students will also receive mentorship, which supports goal setting, emotional wellness and regulation, accountability, and relationship-building. Tutors meet with students 2-3 times per week and support students’ academic progress and emotional well-being, as well as provide engaging optional activities and enrichment opportunities such as coding and digital arts. Tutors have a college degree or degree in progress, undergo a background check, and participate in training. AUSD has worked with Step Up Tutoring since January 2022.

The cost, not to exceed $75,000, to be paid from ESSER III funds.
