Rationale:
|
The District seeks to replace 378 HVAC units throughout the District, which is 65% of the District units. The remaining units have not exceeded 15 years of their useful life and will not be replaced in this project. Included in the scope of work is: Merv 8 to Merv 13 air filters, CO2 & occupancy sensors (building code requirement), 598 new thermostats, outside air economizers for units above 3 tons, Division of the State Architect review, applications, and approvals for 314 of the 378 units, Architectural/Engineering fees, trade labor, crane, storage, and electrical disconnects. The total amount for this turnkey project is $11,724,936 with a $690,000 allowance included in the price. This is an increase from the original amount proposed of $5,000,000.
