Rationale:
|
On March 15, 2023, the Nutrition Services Department released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a comprehensive food safety and sanitation system. The solicitation closed on March 30, 2023. FSS was the only respondent. The scope of work will include eight service visits to each school during the school year, district in-service education, site-based training and monitoring.
In addition, the FSS certified technicians will monitor Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points program integrity and verification. The RFP specifications and conditions contain provisions to extend the contract for up to a total of three years, one year at a time upon mutual agreement by both parties. The contract term is from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. The District has been working with FSS since 2016.

The cost, not to exceed $36,000, to be paid from the Cafeteria Fund.
