Rationale:
|
Due to a large number of existing extended vacancies, and the recent vacancy in the Accounting Supervisor position, Fiscal Services enlisted the services of Ryland School Business Consulting in order to maintain operations, provide excellent service to our school sites and internal departments, accomplish future goals, and complete a mandatory financial system conversion. The terms of the contract will allow the District to use the consultant on an as-needed basis. The amount of the projected budgetary impact is calculated based on the consultant working every work day through the end of the fiscal year. The savings from the various vacancies will significantly, if not entirely, off-set the cost of the contract.
The projected cost of $84,000 will ensure that critical fiscal services tasks will continue to be completed until the department is fully staffed.
