Rationale: The camp will give thirty-five members of the AHS Cross Country Team an opportunity to develop personal well-being, demonstrate sensitivity and equitable treatment of others, and develop pride and a sense of community through camaraderie and team building activities. This five day running camp will be held in San Mateo State Park in San Clemente, CA, August 1-5, 2024. Transportation will be provided by the District. Students will be supervised by the cross country coaches. AHS's Cross Country Team has attended summer camp since 2014.

Board of Education approval is necessary since the trip requires overnight travel.
Budgetary Impact: The cost, not to exceed $200 per student, to be paid from parent support and school fundraisers.
Recommendation: It is recommended the Board of Education approve AHS's Cross County Team attending summer camp.
