Rationale:
|
The Senior Medical Academy, consisting of 23 students, under the supervision of teacher Jennie Aguirre and College & Career Tech Lori Madden, were transported by airplane on November 29, 2023, to GCU, Phoenix, Arizona. Students focused on their medical/health degrees and spent one night in a dorm setting. They visited and engaged with the medical and health programs. Students returned on November 30, 2023. This trip extended the experiences of college life for medical academy seniors and gave them an opportunity to explore careers in the medical field provided by GCU. This trip requires Board of Education approval because of air travel and overnight stay.
