Rationale:
|
The K12 SWP is designed to support K-12 education agencies in creating, improving, and expanding career technical education courses, course sequences, programs of study, and pathways for students transitioning from secondary education to postsecondary education to living-wage employment. COUSD is the fiscal lead of the Foothill Consortium that includes Azusa, Charter Oak, Duarte, and Monrovia Unified School Districts. COUSD has been assigned the responsibility to acquire, manage, and report all uses of grant funds. AUSD must agree to adhere to all terms and conditions set forth in the attached memorandum in order to fully comply with all program eligibility requirements. AUSD has received K12 SWP funding since 2020.

Budgetary Impact:

AUSD will receive $267,823 to be utilized as set forth in the attached MOU.

It is recommended the Board of Education approve MOU between AUSD and COUSD for K12 SWP.
