Rationale: Hodge, Murray, and Valleydale Elementary Schools will implement the SEAL Model. Professional development, curriculum support, and technical assistance will be provided in order to ensure a high-quality education to all English Learners and prevent the development of Long-Term English Learners. AUSD has worked with SEAL since 2019.
Budgetary Impact: The District will pay $150,000 over three years ($50,000 each year) to be paid from Title II funds.
Recommendation: It is recommended the Board of Education approve the agreement between AUSD and SEAL.
