Rationale:
|
The Board of Education originally approved bid #22-23-07-01 roof coating on March 14, 2023, with a total of seven contractors bidding. However, due to the lowest bidding contractor not being able to supply sufficient past financial information, the District decided this contractor was not responsive, even though they were the lowest bidder. As a result of the re-bidding process, on April 11, 2023, the District solicited bids from all approved contractors to repair and coat roofs at three sites (Murray, Sierra/Adult Education Center, and Foothill). The lowest responsible bidder is Lettner Roofing Company. The coating and repair will improve the building envelope, preventing water intrusion and being “cool roof” compliant according to Title 24 building standards.
