Rationale:
|
It is recommended the Board of Education approve an open-ended equity lease with Enterprise. An open ended lease allows for flexibility and will help the District to move toward hybrid and electric vehicles. Using the open-ended equity lease model, the District can leverage the same annual capital to replace five vehicles that cash purchases could have only replaced with one.
Enterprise has been awarded the Sourcewell contract, which Azusa USD is currently a member of as well. Using the Sourcewell contract gives Enterprise the opportunity to compare all makes and manufactures to best fit the District’s needs. Enterprise will order vehicles needed on the District’s behalf, negotiate all incentives, upfit the vehicles, and deliver the vehicles to Azusa USD. |
