Rationale:
|
In accordance with Education Code 39800.1, AUSD collaboratively developed the transportation plan. This plan provides a detailed description of the transportation services offered, how these services support students, and specifically how they assist targeted subgroups, including unduplicated pupils.
The AUSD Transportation Safety Plan outlines the District's objectives, includes detailed actions and services, and provides a breakdown of funding and expenditures related to transportation goals. It will be updated annually and submitted to the Board of Education for approval.
As a condition for receiving apportionments under Education Code 41850.1, a local educational agency must develop a plan that describes the transportation services it will offer to its pupils. The plan must also prioritize transportation services for pupils in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade, as well as for low-income students.
