Subject: 12.3 Approval of Resolution #23-24:17 Approving Recommendations for Surplus Real Property and Authorizing District Staff to Proceed with all Necessary Processes

Rationale: The Azusa Unified School District (“District”) determined the most effective and appropriate use of six (6) identified parcels of real property. District staff recommended that Center Middle School now be the site of a Community/Conference Center, that Slauson Middle School now be the site of Sierra High School, as well as the location of the District’s central kitchen operations, and that Ellington Elementary School, Former Sierra High School Site/Adult Education Center (SHS/AEC), Mountain View Elementary School, and Powell Elementary School be sold in accordance with the statutory surplus property process. The District seeks to approve these recommendations and authorize appropriate District staff to proceed with all necessary processes to effectuate the intent of the Resolution.
